TNF preview -- Show Saturday

Apologies for not having a show last week. We'll be back for this week, but likely not until Saturday. In the meantime, here's a preview of tonight's game between the Redskins and Vikings:

REDSKINS VS. VIKINGS, 7:30, NFLN: The Redskins running game is starting to heat up, while RGIII continues to struggle. Alfred Morris (121 yards, TD) had a good game, but fullback Darrell Young poached his goal-line carries. Will that be a trend going forward? Even if it is, Morris is still getting plenty of carries to justify him as a rock-solid RB2. RGIII threw for 291 yards and no TDs, and he just doesn’t look like the same QB. Pierre Garcon had a huge game, catching 7 passes for 172 yards. RGIII targeted Garcon 11 times, so it looks like Garcon is definitely the team’s No.1 target. RGIII has a good matchup against the Vikings, but he hasn’t produced like he’s supposed to. There are better options out there than RGIII this week.

The Vikings have the 3rd-worst total defense in the league. Good news for the Vikings is that the Redskins have the 2nd-worst total defense. This should be a big night for Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 140 yards last week. AD is a must-start in all formats. Christian Ponder isn't worth starting, but against the Redskins porous defense, Greg Jennings has a shot at a could game. Consider him a flex this week, especially with Ponder-favorite Kyle Rudolph out with a broken leg.

Enjoy the game, and we'll have our podcast up on Saturday.
